Oh, and what a stupid comparison.
Equating having Asylum seekers in the country to putting strangers up in your house is a fucking cop out.
But..Id be more than happy to have a few migrants down this way. It would make a nice change from these Essex/Kent twats that flood the place.

The tabloid "culture" of ignorant offence taking and acting hard is alive and well. This allows the Tories to score points on Labour while doing absolutely nothing about the migrants because that would mean serious work and partnership at the European level.
Way I see it anyway.

I'm not really into politics and am just asking for points of view.
Could Britains migrant situation have happened in the 80s.. the miners and Trade Unionists were being crushed, at war with IRA Argies and anyone else who had wanted a pop, SPG flying around everywhere beating up black people AND me being stopped and searched for no apparent reason (although 3 of those did end up with my arrest) on what seemed at the time whenever I stepped outside the front door.
Plesase feel free to correct me on any point.
But man I had a great time.
I had great mates, West Ham, a good job with plenty of money, loads a birds, The Jam and others, cheap but good quality stolen goods at every turn, didn't need to be tough cos I had plenty of mates who were, and drink and drugs coming out of my ears.
I ended marrying an Aussie girl who a few years later got homesick, I was offered redundancy from my job and moved to Australia with a shed load of money (which I ended up pissing away but didn't care).
There were loads of older POMs (and Aussies) I met who moaned about England being a shithole and how much better Australia was. Theses were mainly from shit parts of England (anywhere except the east end or Essex to me in my rosy specs) so I disagrred with them at every turn.
But these days I find myself starting to act more and more like those miserable bastards. Is everything as bad as it seems over there?
Or am I just turning into an old fart.
